Some health issues that are common to both men and women affect women differently. Although the symptoms may be similar, the effects of the condition and the care necessary can differ significantly for women. While you can't eliminate risk factors such as family history, you can control other risk factors for heart disease, stroke and cancer. For example: Don't smoke, Eat a healthy diet, Maintain a healthy weight, Get moving, Limit alcohol, Manage stress. A healthy lifestyle also might play a role in preventing many diseases.
